Villa Belle Isle

Status: Conceptual Design
Project Area: 2, 500 sq. ft.
Project Type: Single Residential

Located on the picturesque east coast of Grenada, this contemporary villa epitomizes a design philosophy that prioritizes environmental sensitivity, optimal climatic conditions, and a seamless integration with the stunning natural surroundings. The result is a residence that not only offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean but also provides a sustainable and immersive living experience that celebrates the beauty of its coastal location.

One of the key design principles is a gentle touch on the landscape, aiming to minimize any adverse effects on the property. This approach speaks to a commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness. By integrating the villa seamlessly into the terrain, the design becomes a part of the landscape, blending in rather than imposing on the natural beauty of the location.

Positioning the villa to capture easterly breezes is a strategic decision that enhances the overall comfort and energy efficiency of the residence. Large openings in the design serve a dual purpose: they provide stunning panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and facilitate cross ventilation. This design choice not only optimizes natural airflow but also blurs the boundaries between the interior and exterior spaces, creating a fluid transition that connects residents with the surrounding environment.
