Project 318

Contemporary villa overlooking Calivigny island in Egmont Grenada

Status: Conceptual Design
Project Area: 3,500 sq.ft.
Project Type: Single Residential

Project 318 is a contemporary two storey villa located on a very steep slope along the South-Eastern coast of Grenada. The building was designed to be fully integrated into the landscape, while minimising excavation and structural support columns which are very prevalent exterior features found in Grenadian homes.

The property enjoys stunning views of Calivigny Island and Hog Island. One of the main aims of the design process was to capture these views from as many rooms as possible while allowing for cross ventilation and passive cooling in order to enhance indoor-outdoor island living.

The villa consists of three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms along with an open plan living, kitchen, dining area which leads out onto a large covered patio and small plunge pool.

Biophylic design plays a major role in softening the straight lines of the building and in creating a relaxing atmosphere for the residents of the villa.
